  I come from a very traditional dance background for 13 years. I did ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and lyrical, and I was on a few dance teams. So you can say I can move my feet quite a bit. Dancing is a passion of mine, started when I was only 5 years old. When I was 18 I had a rough last year dance experience and it made me not to do it anymore, I wasn’t happy where I was at that time, I was miserable pretty much. I didn’t have the spark in me as much as I used to, so I stopped. Over the course of 4 years, I would be in my room, listening to music and just choreography little moves, or if an old dance song came on I would defiantly do it. But I felt like something was missing from me, and it was dancing. And my mother always told me about going out taking ballroom dancing lessons, and make new friends, because I’m a total introvert, always have but not always will be. So one night we come to the lovely Fred Astaire for a cardio strip tease class, and after the class I talked to Denise about some info and she put me in in my first privite class, and I was excited/nervous because I never danced with a male partner before. So I went for my first class and I absolutely fell in love with the energy of the studio and everyone in it. Cristian, my dance partner/instructor is so amazing, he defiantly knows what he’s doing. He broke me out of my shy shell and I became a little bit more confident with myself. I started getting excited to leave work if it’s a bad day and just run into the studio with my little backpack of dance clothes, and I started going the socials, and I’m gonna start going to the group classes, cause they look like fun. Cristian and I joke around but both know when to be serious. So I highly recommend Fred Astaire if you want to learn all types of ballroom dancing, if you want to feel at home when you walk through the door. Defiantly recommend Fred Astaire. I did! And it was the best decision I ever made.
